Team used for project role

The team field, given it's use and alignment with Compass, and group management being an admin only function, it would be nice if we could assign project role to a 'Team'.  This way permissions still by role, role by team - saves admin a ton of time!!

Hi @Tere Pile ,

I've raised this a while back JRACLOUD-77135: Ability to add team(s) to projects, but I believe I had one hint from the product team a couple of months back that this functionality is being considered and might land in Jira relatively soon.

The workaround for us is to sync Teams and user groups and then assign a project role to the group, which is basically equal to Team.
